Just as a little side note---A few weeks ago I was helping a cute little two-year-old boy named Lennon, and his mom at Primary's. I didn't notice but Lennon had dropped his toy and started screaming and crying his head off. His mom finished signing something and reached over to get it and it was an Edward doll. She just said he really loves the Edward doll and wonders if it's a sign of things to come.
It was really REALLY funny.
I hope this made you smile :)

{Das Vedding Photos}
Ok so this is the entire reason (ok, not entire but a huge part of) why I went with Elton Photography. When I was looking for photographer I saw this pictures and I LOVED it. I'm not sure why, must be my love for sweet trees or something. Just know I'm blowing this picture up and it's going in my living room.
I don't know what was so funny. But Eric looks so cute in this one :)
Doesn't he look like a giant in this one? I like it.
Here's everyone that stayed for pictures. I love these people!
The Daniels' side of the family. And no my sister is not older than me, but she is taller.
The Taylor's. Everyone is so photogenic!
This is my bf Natalie. She seriously saved me that day. Around ten thirty the night before I realized I didn't have any flowers for the temple (DUH Jocelyn, DUH) so I called Nat and she said not to worry about it, she'd take care of it. Where did she get these? I have no idea, but I was so happy to have some for pictures after the temple. Top Notch Nat!
Here comes some more collages, hope you don't mind, I just can't help myself. Here are some little details from the reception. My flower lady was the best, she did a super great job. Short story---well two--- First, when my mother-in-law Liz and I went to the flower lady's house I was IN LOVE with her decor. She had a chair just like this and a succulent window box like this...I knew she was fabulous. I am obsessed with zebra print- no idea why.
Anyway, second- she called me one day, about a month and a half after we had placed the order for the flowers and she was panicked. She told me that the berries I wanted as a part of the centerpieces were not going to make it from South America because they were having a rough season and suggested some grasses from Georgia. I bit my tongue really hard trying not to laugh. Maybe she thought I was a bridezilla or something but I really didn't care. I had no idea she was getting the flowers from other countries. It was so nice that she was really concerned about what I wanted for the wedding. I don't know, it just made me giggle. :) Nice lady.
The cake turned out well. I imagined the apples on the bottom a little differently but it still looks great :) A little side note--does anyone need a 'T' cake topper? I have no idea what to do with it.
Cutting the cake. Eric and I had previously discussed not shoving the cake in each other's faces. Well...when the moment presented it's self, I took it. I didn't really shove it ALL over, just kind of on the side. He was a little miffed :)
Here are some VERY cute kids at the reception. They all should most definitely go into modeling.
Well there were a TON of pictures and I didn't really know what else to do with them and didn't want to bore you with talking about all of them so they are on a slide show *sorry for the dumb ads :) So feel free to turn on some tunes {I'd suggest this or a little of this} and enjoy!

{Juan Mayer & Shoes}
To start out the night, Eric and I went to Jimmy John's for some dinner. I love this place---it' SO good. >>Just a side note, there is a JJ really close to our house, but they only deliver to 1st Avenue! We live on 6th Ave, bummer. It's probably a good thing though, otherwise I'm sure we'd be eating it like twice a week or more.
(I'm so proud of myself for figuring out how to make these little collage thingies. I probably will overuse them for a while, but they're just so cool)
The concert was at Usana. I told Eric I was going to blog about this (hence my picture taking, I'm just trying to get better) so he was doing some kind of 'model pose' in these pictures of us. I don't know what this weird smile is, but we probably took like 6 pictures of us and he did this little smirk in all of them. What a weirdo :)

Owl City was opening for Johnnie-Cakes Mayer and during their performance Eric and I were playing fashion police. *more on this in a bit
Then it was John. Ah! It was so fantastic! He is so great live and I really enjoyed his little conversation in between songs. He played Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, which is definitely one of my top five favorite songs and it was amazing. This is a break up song, and it was really funny watching people really 'slow dancing' to it.
He also played Heart of Life. Every time I hear this song it makes me tear up!
So...Fashion Police. During Owl City Eric and I were having a great time people-watching and 'Tim Gunn-ing' (aka 'commenting') on some weird clothing choices. *Side note>> E and I love to watch Project Runway, hence the Tim Gunn reference. It's a very addicting show, I'm sure there will be more post on it later>> When John Mayer came out, we just kept thinking WHAT IS HE WEARING?! He had some flood pants on and a weird wind-breaker jacket. One of those ones that you see in an LL Bean Catelog on some grey-haired man that likes to fish. Anyway...I'm SO happy he brought it up in between one of his songs. He says 'this is not the fashion of a guy in a relationship. Obviously I dressed myself and I have no taste.' It was a great intro to his song Perfectly Lonely, which is about being alone. :) And it definitely gave his outfit some justification.
Speaking of shoes......
AHH!!!!! Shape-ups shoes!! The past week at my yob I saw this lady who was wearing this great 'faux exercise' shoe....but took it to another level. She had on the shoe with some tights and a dress. Tennis shoes dress up--it was great. It really made me laugh :) I hope someday I see someone where these to work, or to church. It would really make my life.
AquaMan called...he wants his look back!

{Snatchin' your people up}
Ok....you have to watch this. I feel kind of bad laughing but it's just too hilarious!
Now this.
Catchy right? When I showed it to Eric he couldn't believe it was real so he looked it up and it is 100% the real deal. And you can actually buy it on itunes.
Top notch Antwon Dodson! Top notch!

The Proposal Minus Sandra Bullock (Eric's Side of the Story)
I actually purchased the ring after having gone with Jocelyn and she approved of a ring I selected but I kept her in the dark and said we would still keep looking around. I was planning on proposing before Christmas but because of technical difficulties I was unable to.
After about a month of trying to figure out how I was going to do it I landed on an idea that I thought was pretty good. After some more thought I tweaked the idea and made it more my own.
The week that I planned on doing it I told her that we were going to go ring shopping after we had a nice dinner and suggested that we dress nice just for fun and a change of pace. She agreed and didn't seem to think anything of it.
So Saturday came and I hit the ground running. I got a haircut and got prepared for the big night and the next thing I knew I was on my way to pick up her favorite food from the restaurant that I used to work at. I had the nervous butterflies in my stomach but I felt really good. When I picked up the food I was mauled by the people that worked their asking me why I was dressed up and then congratulating me and asking questions about how I was going to do it. Their reactions boosted my confidence.
Anyway, so I had lined the counter in my kitchen with about 30 of those little tiny candles and prepared some Jon Schmidt to listen to while we ate. I borrowed a nice table cloth from the neighbors and got out my mom's nice china and cleaned up all nice. My family helped by lighting the candles and setting the table (oh yeah, there was three more larger candles on the table).
I picked her up and she looked absolutely beautiful and I was so happy. We arrived at the house and when she saw the candles she said that it was way cute. It smelled like smoke a bit but it ended being ok. When she saw the type of salad that was on our plates she knew what was for dinner and was way excited.
We enjoyed our meal and the music and just each other's company it was wonderful. When we finished we retired to the front room where I had put my acoustic guitar. I had prepared three songs for her that are pretty perfect in my opinion I'll share what they are and some lyrics:
Here In Your Arms by Hellogoodbye
Our lips can touch
and our cheeks can brush
and our lips can touch, here.
Where you are the one the one who lies close to me,
Whispers, "Hello, I've missed you quite terrible."
I fell in love in love with you suddenly
Now there's no place else I could be but here in your arms.
Yellow by Coldplay
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
You know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so
I Won't Spend Another Night Alone by the Ataris
If I had one wish this is what it would be...
I'd ask you to spend all your time with me,
That we'd be together forever.
We'd buy a small house in south central Salt Lake
Raise lots of kids then we'd both join a gang
Just as long as we're together.
During the first song she started to cry and I almost lost a bit there. Yellow is one of her most favorite all time songs and so she really started to cry after that. It was awesome. :)
When I finished I said, "I know that we said no gifts (for Valentine's and such since we are poor) but I got you something." So I pulled out the gift and gave it to her. She almost immediately knew what it was for when she began unwrapping it. I bought her some scriptures and had them put "Jocelyn Renae Taylor" on them for her name when we get married. While she was opening it I had grabbed the ring from behind a couch cushion and I was already on both knees and I got onto one and asked her to marry me. She said yes.
Awesome? I think so.
Sorry it's so long.
Our Blog
This will be the Eric and Jocelyn Taylor Family blog. We got the title from the movie "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. Which I thought would suck but decided to give it a chance and loved it. It's pretty much just when someone says, "you're cute" or "I love you" you say, "me too.... but about you." Make sense? I hope so. I hope that we'll do much better at keeping up with this blog than we have our personal blogs. We will be getting married July 1st in the Salt Lake Temple.
We have made a goal to take more pictures so we are going to do that. Starting with our engagement we're hoping to take a picture every day. Here is an old one because we failed to take one on our engagement day. Sorry!
